Meet our new bishop!

Listening to God's call
In September 2017, Bishop Barry Beisner announced his retirement. Following this announcement, the Diocesan Standing Committee elected the Bishop Search Committee, which is responsible for all search process information, and is separate from The Office of the Bishop.
The mission of the Search Committee is to create a Holy Space for our diocese to discern our identity in Christ and to understand better our hopes and dreams for the future, in conversation with the Holy Spirit. The search for a Bishop is deep spiritual work. They will help those who are drawn to contemplate the possibility of serving God as our bishop discern, and will explore the gifts and vision that each person might bring to our diocese.

Timeline to a new bishop

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a bishop for this Diocese, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
